If you'll recall a couple of months ago I posted a blog about the new radio show Steve Earle's hosting on Air America, the liberal radio network. After a buddy saw the post he asked me if there were any local (Chicago area) stations where he could hear the show... and if I'd heard the show, I had to plead ignorance on both counts.
So, I did some more searching.
Fortunately, Clint Harris over at Steve Earle.net has posted a great resource about the show.
As for hearing the show...
Those of you with XM radio, you can tune into channel 167 at 10pm Eastern/9 pm Central on Sunday nights to hear the show. On Sirius radio, it's channel 144.
If you're new to this, you've probably missed the shows they've run up until now, but you can hear them online over at Steve's site.
Again, the premise is that Steve invites a different guest each week to bring in their own music, and they play songs and talk music and world events.
So far guests have included kind of predictable Air America personalities such as Janeane Garafolo and Al Franken, but also under-interviewed guests and alt country artists such as filmmaker John Sayles, Jason Ringenberg, Emmylou Harris, Nanci Griffith, Rodney Crowell, Patti Smith, Aidan Quinn and others.
It's a great line up and great shows. Check it out.
